The Only Viper That Looks Like This — Anywhere.

"Most Vipers have a story. But very few have this story. This 2005 Dodge Viper started its life as a flat-black roadster — raw, powerful, unmistakably American — but it needed vision. It needed someone willing to bring out what the original designers intended: a race-bred supercar with real presence, the kind you hear and feel from a block away."

So I began a full frame-on restoration. Not a cosmetic flip — a complete resurrection with the intention of keeping the car. What followed was a multi-month transformation designed to build a Viper that didn’t just turn heads… it stopped conversations. It's not just a Viper. It's a Vision brought to life.

THE TRANSFORMATION

Premium Viper Race Yellow Paint

It is finished in the factory Race Yellow paint—an eye-catching color that perfectly complements its aggressive lines—with satin-black wheels and matching yellow brake calipers. Professionally applied, deep gloss, flawless presentation — the same color reserved for commemorative models. This alone changes everything. Photographs can’t capture how alive this color looks in the sun.

Matching Black-and-Yellow Race Seats + Painted Dash

New custom upholstered seats in matching commemorative dual-tone racing leather. Dashboard and door trim professionally color-matched to the commemorative Viper editions. The result is a cockpit that looks like it came straight out of a limited-production model.

Solved the Famous Viper Cabin-Heat Problem

Every Viper owner knows: these cars run HOT. So the entire underside, exhaust system, manifolds, and cockpit surfaces were professionally mylar-wrapped. Catalytic converters removed. Heat issues? Gone. Cabin comfort? Night-and-day difference.

Powder-Coated Black Viper Rims

A striking contrast against Viper Race Yellow. Aggressive. Clean. Showroom sharp. Wrapped in brand new Michelins—because a Viper deserves the right rubber. Perfect stance. Perfect grip.

New Brakes, Calipers, Joints, Tie Rods — and More

The car was inspected by one of the state’s only certified Viper mechanics at the Dodge dealership. He created a full rebuild list, and over $11,000 in documented parts and service were completed (independent of tires, paint, and interior costs):

  • All wear items replaced
  • All major joints & rods replaced
  • Full tune-up (Plugs/Wires)
  • Complete systems refresh
  • Ice-Cold AC (Serviced)
  • New Stereo + Amp Included

The car now drives the way a Viper should: tight, controlled, powerful, and alive.

THE RESULT & VALUE

This Viper is now a one-of-a-kind, fully refreshed, race-inspired convertible — and yes, the convertible matters. Only a limited number of Vipers were built as convertibles, and collectors know how rare they are becoming. It now looks like a showroom special edition. It drives as if it rolled out of the Dodge performance bay yesterday. It gets stares everywhere. Compliments from strangers. Thumbs-up from other supercar owners.

Well-kept Vipers regularly bring $50K–$90K, depending on condition, history, rarity, and upgrades. This one stands at the top of that scale in presentation, restoration quality, and curb appeal — and has a fully clear title, passing all inspections.

It began its restoration journey with a rebuild designation years ago due to a minor incident, which is already reflected in the price and is fully documented. It now holds a 100% clear title, and everything mechanical and cosmetic has been addressed.

I have over $75,000 invested in this car.

A clean-title Viper restored to this level would typically bring the high end in today’s market.

I will consider the highest offer starting in the high 50s, or you can own it now for $60,000.

If you’re looking for:

  • A showroom-looking Viper
  • A car with major mechanical investments already done
  • A convertible rarity
  • A race-inspired color combo
  • A cockpit that stays cool
  • A supercar that presents like a commemorative edition

…then you already know: this isn’t the one you browse — this is the one you come see in person.
